Hi, I’m Vani.

For more than two decades, I’ve partnered with organizations, entrepreneurs, and marketing teams to create thoughtful brands, memorable websites, presentations, and creative experiences that help businesses grow with confidence.

As an artist, I’ve always believed exceptional design should feel warm, inviting, and effortless. It shouldn’t call attention to itself—it should simply feel right.

At Design Spinners, every project is personal. I work closely with every client from concept through completion, combining artistic creativity with decades of real-world experience to create work that’s not only beautiful, but meaningful, memorable, and built to last.

MY DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Great design
should never feel
like design.

I believe the best design isn’t something people stop to admire. It’s something they naturally connect with.

The strongest brands don’t exist to impress other designers. They exist to build trust, create emotional connections, and help people instantly understand who you are.

That’s why I’m not simply a ‘yes’ designer.

If I don’t believe an idea will serve your business well, I’ll tell you—and I’ll always come back with a better solution.

My responsibility isn’t just to create what a client asks for. It’s to create what will genuinely help their brand succeed.

BUILDING DESIGN SPINNERS

Creativity has always been
part of my story.

My parents recognized it early and encouraged it every step of the way, turning part of my childhood bedroom into an art studio and proudly displaying my artwork throughout our home. Looking back, one of the greatest gifts they ever gave me wasn’t teaching me how to create. It was teaching me never to stop.

Growing up with an entrepreneurial father also shaped who I am. He often reminded me, ‘It’s wonderful to work for other people in your twenties. By the time you’re thirty, build something that’s yours.’

I attended UCLA’s School of Arts & Architecture, where I was part of only the second graduating class of the newly established Design | Media Arts program.

After graduation, I built my creative foundation at CardService International and Boeing, working on everything from branding and websites to presentations, marketing campaigns, trade shows, and corporate communications.

While working full-time, I quietly built my own freelance business after hours under the name Design by Vani.

Those evenings and weekends eventually became Design Spinners-a boutique creative studio built around one simple idea:

To provide businesses with exceptional design and the kind of creative partnership that lasts for years, not just projects.

MORE THAN A DESIGNER

Some of my favorite
client relationships
have lasted for years.

Many clients tell me they think of Design Spinners as an extension of their own team. Whatever creative challenge lands on their desk, they know they can simply call and ask, ‘Can you handle this?’ The answer is almost always… ‘Absolutely.’

Clients often tell me they appreciate our responsiveness, professionalism, and exceptional taste.

I’m unapologetically detail-oriented. Typography, spacing, color, and presentation all matter because it’s often the smallest details that create the biggest impression.

BEYOND THE STUDIO

Creativity Doesn’t
End at Work.

Creativity isn’t something I switch on during business hours and off when I leave the studio. It’s simply how I experience life.

I love decorating my home, entertaining family and friends, dancing, caring for my ever-growing collection of plants, and finding beauty in everyday moments.

Creating For AniVani

When inspiration strikes

ani vani

When inspiration strikes, you’ll often find me creating for AniVani®—my personal creative brand inspired by my daughter, Aanika, and my love of art, imagination, joy, and the little moments that make life beautiful.

Most importantly, I’m a wife and mother. My family will always be the greatest source of inspiration, purpose, and happiness in my life.

I believe in gratitude. I believe positivity is contagious. I believe joy is something we create together. And I believe kindness costs nothing, but can change everything.

Beyond the Work

If you asked me what I hope people will remember twenty years from now, it wouldn’t simply be a logo I designed or a website I built.

I hope they remember how I made them feel. I hope they remember feeling heard.

I hope they remember enjoying the creative process instead of feeling overwhelmed by it. I hope they remember knowing they had someone they could trust.

Over the years, many clients have become friends, and many projects have grown into lasting partnerships. To me, that’s one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

Because while I care deeply about creating exceptional work, I believe the relationships we build along the way matter even more.

At the end of the day, everything comes back to people.

If our paths cross, I hope your business grows because of the work we create together. But even more than that…I hope your life is just a little brighter because we met.

Someone once described me as “liquid sunshine.” I smiled when I heard it because it perfectly captured the kind of person I hope to be—someone who brings warmth, optimism, creativity, and a little more joy to the people around me.
